Lenovo Thinkpad X300 is the newest addition in the Thinkpad notebooks line. This ultraportable notebook is rumored to have the following specs :
- 13.3-inch LED backlit 1440 x 900 screen, an ultralight 2.5 pound form factor
- Intel Merom Santa Rosa Dual Core CPU - 2.0 Ghz | 880 Mhz FSB
- 64 GB SSD
- Up to 4GB of DDR2 PC2-5300 memory
- 4 hours of battery life

The Thinkpad X300 is officially released. As the rumors said, the X300 is equipped with SSD hard drive, which means that this laptop's hard drive contains no moving parts (so you have less things to worry when you travel around with this laptop) thus it is more energy efficient than other laptops that use "traditional" hard drive. Lenovo claims that the X300 can stay up to 10 hours without being plugged in to its power adapter.
Lenovo is making a smart move by offering this laptop without sacrificing its functionalities. You will find stereo speakers, built in camera, and most importantly : integrated DVD burners.

Rated EPEAT Gold for low energy use and minimal impact on the environment, Lenovo claims that the X300 is the greenest Thinkpad ever. The X300 also 25% less energy consumptions than the previous X series models.
